Dynamite Shrimp

Crispy, golden-fried shrimp coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce. This restaurant-style favorite is surprisingly easy to make at home!

Ingredients

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 to 1½ cups neutral oil (like canola, vegetable, or avocado), for frying

For the Dynamite Sauce:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce

  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to your preferred spice level)

For Garnish:

  • Sliced scallions

  • Toasted sesame seeds
