GROUND BEEF AND GRAVY OVER MASHED POTATOES

Make the mashed potatoes:

Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes, or until they’re fork-tender.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
Mash until smooth and creamy. Set aside and keep warm.

Make the ground beef and gravy:

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. If you’re using onion and garlic, add them in when the beef is halfway browned.
Once the beef is browned and cooked through, sprinkle the flour over it. Stir well to coat.
Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5-10 minutes, until the gravy thickens.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve:

Spoon the mashed potatoes onto plates and top with the ground beef and gravy mixture.
Enjoy!
You can also add vegetables like peas or corn to make it even heartier. Would you like to add any specific ingredients or tips?
