Use thick chicken breasts or pound to even thickness
Don’t lift lid during cooking

For the Chicken:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup marinara sauce
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
For the Topping:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
Optional Add-ins:
Red pepper flakes for heat
Extra garlic cloves
Fresh oregano

Instructions
Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Place seasoned chicken in slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine chicken broth, marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning.
Pour sauce mixture over chicken.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
In final 30 minutes, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
Continue cooking until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
