Homemade Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

A delicious fusion of two classic desserts: soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with spiced apples and topped with a rich cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 large egg

  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon table salt

  • 3 cups Granny Smith apples, finely chopped

  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature

For the Frosting:

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature

  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
